About
Every neuron, every connection is a scroll-driven story about the complete wiring diagram of a male fruit fly's nervous system, and the AI team at Google Research that helped draw it. It opens on a dense, multicoloured mass of neurons forming the brain and nerve cord, beside key numbers: 166,000 neurons, 125 million synapses and about a millimetre in length. Scrolling isolates a single blue neuron inside a translucent grey body and follows it down the neck into the legs, then shows 275 purple copies of another cell type. Federico Guardabrazo built it with Three.js and custom shaders.
