About
tote inc. is a Tokyo-based design studio that builds sound-driven websites with playful interactions and expressive visuals, popular with fans of music, fashion and wonder. Its own site opens on a close-up of a donkey with a chicken on its head, in front of a blue sky filled with the word Tote written in clouds. Scrolling sends you up through white haze into a tunnel lined with bright gradient posters, script type and checker patterns, where a Tote cube floats and a burger sits in the corner. Each step adds more colour and words about interactive design.
