3D Wave Grid

About
3D Wave Grid is a background effect by Franky Hung, shown on a page that introduces him as a Hong Kong-based creative developer. Behind a short block of text, a grid of soft white and pale blue tiles rises and falls in slow waves, catching light along their edges. The cursor disturbs the grid as it passes, pushing nearby tiles out of line before they settle back. It's built to be minimalistic and customizable, so it can sit behind content without competing with it. It's made with Three.js, using particles, custom shaders and post-processing.
