Codevember 2026: Fold
About
Fold is Mr.doob's first piece for Codevember 2026, a single scene where an endless sheet of translucent plastic pours down from above and folds onto itself on a pale studio floor. The sheet runs through magenta, blue, green, yellow and red as it piles up into glossy loops and ridges, and each layer refracts the folds beneath it. You can grab the sheet and drag it around, press Space to pause, or open a settings panel for speed, stiffness, thickness and colour grading. It runs on Three.js with WebGPU, with a cloth simulation, refraction and ambient occlusion.
