Drift by Ming Jyun Hung
About
Drift is an experiment by Ming Jyun Hung that follows an astronaut floating through a dark space filled with grey blocks. The figure, in an orange suit and white helmet, drifts slowly while thousands of cubes and slabs of different sizes swirl around it like a field of debris. As you scroll, the blocks shift into waves and tunnels and the camera follows the astronaut through them. Moving the cursor and dragging change the view. It's built with Three.js, with particles, custom shaders and a simulation driving the blocks.
