Procedural Grass

About
Procedural Grass is a study by Ming Jyun Hung that fills a rolling hillside with dense, photoreal grass. Thousands of long green blades cover the terrain and sway in the wind, with highlights flickering across their tips as gusts pass through the field. The field fades into soft dark fog toward the horizon, which keeps the focus on the grass itself. You can drag to orbit and scroll to move the camera low over the ground or pull back to see the whole slope. It's built with Three.js in WebGL2, using particles, custom shaders, a simulation and post-processing.
